Good Ground

Matthew 13:23, But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Keep in mind that the seed of God's word already contains the ability to produce. It only needs a receptive place in your heart and mind.

What makes us receptive or "good ground" is the willingness to hear and understand. Like a natural seed going into good soil, it is just a matter of time before good fruit springs forth!

Stay focused and encouraged! God's Word is in you and it is producing good fruit!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! An Encouraging Word for 2016!

Friday, January 01, 2016 Bryan Hudson 0 Comments

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Every new year is an opportunity for a fresh start, a renewed perspective, and a new excitement about life!

Reflect on these scriptures:

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. (Isaiah 43:19)

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.  (Ephesians 4:15-16 NLT)

Questions to Consider:

1. What are 3-5 of my top personal goals/needs for 2016?

2. What are 3-5 of my spiritual and ministry-oriented focus/growth areas for 2016?

3. What are God’s promises regarding my goals/focus/growth? (Search the Scriptures for those promises)

4. What are my strategies regarding your goals/focus/growth?

As you reflect, pray, plan, and spend time with the Lord, let me share a new resource called Firm Foundation Conversations and Studies. Check it out at http://www.firmfoundationtv.net

In 2016, I will also be conducting weekly 30 minute Firm Foundation Bible Studies online and on Periscope. Follow me on Twitter or Facebook to receive notice of the live Periscope sessions, or visit this website.

Finally, I encourage you to sow a seed in anticipation of the harvest you expect to receive in 2016!

Have a blessed and fruitful 2016!
