"And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places." Ephesians 1:19-20

Easter Sunday is not simply a Christian holiday. It is more than a religious observance. This particular Sunday deserves a greater focus than what to wear to church. Resurrection Sunday is a day for us to celebrate one of the greatest life-changing events in human history, the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was an event in history that changed the course of human life and brought something into the world that had never before been seen.

The Apostle Paul called it, "The exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe." Jesus' resurrection from the dead was a demonstration of God's mighty power. “Resurrection” is from the biblical Greek word “anastasis” meaning, “up” and “to cause to stand.” The literal definition is, "to cause the stand up."

Mercy, salvation, and all the benefits of new life in Christ came because God raised Him from the dead. Anastasis is a great gift to humanity and an everyday benefit to those who love and serve the Lord. Because of Jesus, you can always STAND UP!

To learn how to walk in that grace and power, join us at New Covenant Church on Resurrection Sunday, April 5 at 10:30am ET.
