The Lord is Your Refuge (Safe Place)
Encouragement for you from my devotional reading for August 28..
Psalm 142:4-5, Look and see, there is no one at my right hand; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life. I cry to you, Lord; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
David expressed a feeling that we sometimes have. He was emotionally distressed and experiencing profound isolation.
Do not succumb to despair or self-pity. Understand that the care and concern you need may not come from the places you expected. The Lord is your refuge (safe place) and He will bring forth the people who truly care for your soul.
